🌊 A Peek Into Eli 🌊The waves are crashing. The sun is setting. People are laughing and embracing under the sunset. I feel the sand squish slowly through my toes as I gaily walk down the shoreline.My all-time favorite place to be is the beach. The weather at the beach is the most quarreling of all places in the world. One minute you are relaxing lazily on the sandy seashore reading a most invigorating book and then suddenly, the sky opens up and beats the sand with its rain sending sunbathers running for cover.Today, however, I sit engrossed and allow the foamy mist from the rampant ocean spraying my face lightly as though it was the touch of a feather. Off in the distance, the sun begins to set in a sleepy unhurried fashion. It is the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. The colors swirl together in a muddled mass across the sky, blending together into deeper and darker tones.As I stood there, on the beach, glancing at the ocean in awe of the beautiful sight, a sudden gust of wind blew past me. Each individual strand of my hair crossed my face, the sun played as it made its disappearance just dipping below the horizon as if it had grown too tired to show its’ beautiful light.The smell of the sea filled my nose as I took in the fresh air. The sand was filled with corals, with a collection of many seashells, all of which had their own uniqueness in shape, size and color; however, the sand felt like a bed full of soft comforters. The way the ice-cold water moved the sand and flowed onto my feet and between my toes, made my heart race. It was as soft and delicate as silk; the tiny grains of sand were so fine that they could not possibly be seen without a microscope.The waves sounded as if they were singing a soothing song to me, causing me to look back on all of my past memories and drawing me closer to them. They were inviting me in with their eternal arms, but my feet could not listen because the frigid waves penetrated my feet. It was as if I were stuck. My feet were planted, my feet would not move. It was as if they were frozen to the ground and could not possibly take a step, therefore, I sat down, watching the sun sink lower and lower, glowing like fire in the beautiful dusk sky.As the time gradually went by, the cool breeze blew; with a solemn, good evening, reaching down towards me and ending another perfect day.
